Cultivating a Life of Prayer

TBD

Cost: $10 (Includes continental breakfast and workshop materials)

Jesus was a person of prayer and he taught his first followers how to pray.  Even a cursory reading of the Book of Acts reveals that the early church put a high value on prayer.  If we are serious about following Jesus and being his church in the world today, we have to cultivate a life of prayer.  This workshop will take you on a journey through the history of prayer in the life of God's people.  It will explore the theology of prayer and will introduce the practices that will help you become a person of prayer.

Finding Your Sacred Pathway

TBD

Cost: $25 (Includes continental breakfast, lunch, workshop materials, and a copy of Gary Thomas' book Sacred Pathways)

The
first commandment of spiritual growth is "Thou shalt not covet thy
neighbor's spiritual walk."  After all, it's his, not yours.  It is
much better to discover the path God designed you to take - a path
marked by growth and fulfillment, based on your unique temperament.
This workshop, built on Gary Thomas' book Sacred Pathways, unfolds nine
distinct spiritual temperaments - their traits, strengths, and
pitfalls.  In one or more of these pathways you will see yourself and
the ways you best connect with God.  Discover your pathway and
experience the richness of a close walk with God.
