Michael Ennis, Sr. - Pastor

Karen Ennis  - Administrative Assistant & Outreach Director

(Pastor Mike & Karen)

Pastor Mike and his wife, Karen, came to The River in October 2010 from Roanoke, VA where they enjoyed ministy for 12 years. Pastor Mike's passion is to see people come into a right relationship with Jesus Christ. He lives out The River Mission, “to glorify God by making more disciples for Jesus Christ”, in his life and ministry by sharing the message of salvation through Jesus Christ in word and deed.  He has 38 years of ministry experience in several churches and at Southern Wesleyan University.

Karen is the Office Secretary and brings a pleasant voice and presence to those calling and visiting. She has the special gift of communication and is equally a great listener. In addition, she is the Big Event Team Leader.  Her visions for events are accomplished by partnering with a team of gifted people.  Her love of people and desire to see lives changed drives her to do whatever she can, wherever she can, however she can to reach her world for Christ.

Dave Zimmerman - Assistant Pastor / Worship & Student Ministries

We are excited to announce our newest member of the staff, Dave Zimmerman.  Dave is an ordained Wesleyan minister, who studied at Spring Arbor University where he earned his BA in Contemporary Ministries.     He also has many years of experience as Youth Pastor and Worship Leader. He and his wife Jen both lead our Praise & Worship Team and we could not be more thrilled with the talent they bring each Sunday morning. In addition, Dave & Jen have 3 wonderful children, Matt, Ryan, and Jessica.

T.J. Bunting - Leader of Celebrate Recovery

Megan Bunting - Director of River Kids Children's Ministry

TJ & Megan have attended The River with their two children, Nathan and Nora, since October 2009. God has called their hearts in to Ministry and set a firm belief within them that The River is where they are meant to live out the mission of "glorifying God by making more disciples for Jesus Christ". Both have shown leadership skills that make them a valuable part of the Leadership Team at The River.

TJ currently leads a Celebrate Recovery group that meets every Thursday night at The River. It is because of his past struggles that his heart is now fully engaged in this Christ centered recovery program. He has shown great leadership through previous bible studies and ministries.

Megan has worked closely with River Kids Childrens Ministry for over 5 years and has been the Assistant Director for a year.  We’re blessed that Megan is willing to go to the next level of leadership and we know that because her relationship with Christ is strong, she will carry out our vision.

Ron Smith - Director of Operations

As Director of Operations, Ron is entrusted with the responsibility of managing the business aspect of The River Church, including, overseeing the annual budget process, managing the day-to-day expenses of Ministry, leading The Board of Trustees, and organizing the use and care of the facility. The River Church is "GOD's" house, so it is important to keep the facility in good shape for first impressions and to partner with the ministries of The River Church to accomplish The River's Mission - to make more disciples for Christ.
