If you’ve ever been swimming in the ocean, you know it is easy to drift up the shoreline from where you enter the water.  Without trying or even noticing you move further and further away from the place where you started.  This can happen in life and faith too.  You begin the journey and everything seems new, fresh, simple, and clear.  Then, life happens and you move away from the basic components that make real and alive.  In order to get back on track you have to intentionally get back to the basics.

This month at The River we are cutting through the clutter and busyness of life, and the sometimes confusing and complicating reality of faith, to revisit the basic teachings of Christ concerning faith and the Church.  Join us as we explore two key teachings of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew.
